The undersigned is directed to refer to the issue of mandatory registration on 'Study in India portal by foreign students seeking admissions in Indlan Higher Educational Institutions. Given the fact that registration by foreign students is mandatory for all courses (short-term and long-term) for the Academic Year 2025-26 onwards and no foreign student would be given a student visa without registering on the Sll portal, UGC, AICTE are requested to kindly issue appropriate instructions to all Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) under their respective control to run a ticker for alerting all foreign students to ensure registration on the Sll portal (https://www.studyinindla.gov.in/admission/registrations).
