Research Capability and Focus Area
IIT Ropar offers Ph.D. programs in Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, as well as in the departments of Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Humanities and Social Sciences. Applications for admission to the Ph.D. program are invited for the July and January semesters. Candidates will be admitted to the program through the institute’s selection process under the Regular Full-Time Ph.D. category. Ph.D. candidates are eligible to receive the Institute Half-Time Research Assistantship (HTRA).
