About Us
Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (CCSHAU), Hisar, was established on February 2, 1970, as Haryana Agricultural University (HAU) by the Haryana and Punjab Agricultural Universities Act of 1970, the 16th Act of Parliament. Since its inception, the University has committed itself to using its groundbreaking research and extension efforts to advance agriculture and the farming community. The CCSHAU has been making immense contribution in the field of agricultural education, research and extension, and has made a mark at international level.
Besides the six colleges on the main campus in Hisar, namely College of Agriculture, College of Agricultural Engineering & Technology, College of Basic Sciences & Humanities, I.C. College of Community Science, College of Fisheries Science, College of Biotechnology, the University runs two more Agriculture Colleges, one in Kaul (Kaithal) and the other in Bawal (Rewari). The Institute of Business Management & Agripreneurship, Gurugram, was established to educating young people in developing managerial skills and entrepreneurship in agribusiness.
At CCSHAU, our mission is to deliver top-notch instruction in world class facilities. In addition to offering undergraduate degrees in Agriculture, Community Science and Agricultural Engineering, the university also offers postgraduate degrees in 47 disciplines including MBA, Agribusiness, and Rural Management, as well as Doctor of Philosophy in 40 disciplines.
The University collaborates with Western Sydney University for dual degree programmes. International students from various countries such as Nigeria, Tanzania, Kenya, Egypt, Namibia, Ethopia, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Nepal, Fiji, Indonesiaformpartofthe University's student community.
