Baba Farid College of Engineering and Technology is managed by Baba Farid Vidyak Society, founded in 1994 under the kind patronage of prominent educationists of Malwa Region of the State of Punjab. Baba Farid College of Engineering and Technology (BFCET), located in Bathinda, Punjab, is a premier institution dedicated to providing quality technical education. Established in 2008, BFCET has rapidly evolved, emphasizing academic excellence, research innovation, and holistic development. The institute offers a host of hi-tech ultra-modern facilities to ensure quality education for its students. The institute is being managed efficiently by its Chairman, Dr. Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal, an eminent educationist and Bharat Jyoti Awardee. The institution has also signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with various international and national institutes and industries, including the University of Arad in Romania, AIIMS, INTEL, FESTO, EdGate, and the Central University of Punjab, to enhance research and academic collaborations.

Key Research Focus Areas at BFCET: • Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning: BFCET has collaborated with Intel to establish an Artificial Intelligence Lab, providing students with hands-on experience in AI and ML technologies. • Industrial Automation: In partnership with FESTO India Private Limited, the college has set up an Industrial Automation Lab to expose students to the latest engineering concepts in automation and Industry 4.0. • Internet of Things (IoT): The institution has collaborated with EdGate Technologies to establish an IoT Lab, enabling students to engage in designing and implementing IoT systems.
