About Us

Acharya Nagarjuna University has a long-standing tradition of welcoming students from diverse backgrounds and providing them with a conducive learning environment. Spread over 121 hectares of land on NH-16 between Vijayawada and Guntur near Amaravati, the State Capital of Andhra Pradesh, the University is one of the front ranking and fastest expanding Universities in the state. It is named after “Acharya Nagarjuna” a great Buddhist preceptor and philosopher. The University is fortunate to be situated on the very land where he was born and lived, a land made more sacred by generations of students aspiring for enlightenment and holistic education. With a robust infrastructure, modern academic facilities and services, experienced faculty, and a wide array of academic programs across eight disciplines, the University is well-equipped to support and guide International Students throughout their academic journey. The campus has well-furnished International Students Hostel that caters to the needs of international students, ensuring their comfort and security. In recognition of its academic excellence, the University has been awarded NAAC “A+” grade with an institutional CGPA of 3.46/4.00, and NIRF 97th rank in the Overall category, 20th among State Universities in India, as declared by MHRD, Government of India.
