Institutes Partnership Eligibility Criteria

SII aims to provide international students with learning opportunities in reputed educational institutes. To ensure the same, SII programme strictly partners with institutes that are eligible as per the following norms (Institute falling in any one of the following Institute Eligibility Criteria):
    1.      Listed/ figured in the NIRF
    2.      A valid NAAC score of 3.01 on scale of 4.0
    3.      Institutes granted the status of Institution of National Importance or Institute of Eminence
    4.      Listed in QS World Ranking Asia 2024 onwards
    5.      Accorded Autonomous Status by any statutory bodies, Ministries viz., MHA, AICTE, UGC, NMC, NCI, etc. of the Government of India.
    6.      Institutions with 80% admissions consecutively for the last 5 Academic Years.
    7.      Foreign Institutes having Offshore Campus in India should upload either UGC document or GIFT City Approval document (*Regulatory approval from IFSCA (International Financial Services Centers Authority) & UGC (University Grants Commission)
Study in India is also accepting Foreign institutes having Indian Campuses under the criteria :
    1.      Foreign institutes having Indian Campus Approved under UGC guidelines
    2.      Foreign institutes having Indian Campus Approved for GIFT City (Gujarat International Finance Tech-City) by IFSCA
             (International Financial Services Centres Authority)
Note : We will need document for one of the above-mentioned eligibility criteria to approve your institute for partnership
    •       Institutes fulfilling the above-mentioned criteria, are requested to register with Study in India.
    •      Institutes which are registered with Study in India, can only intake foreign students & NRI.
    •      Foreign students will only be granted Student Visa, once the foreign student registers with Study in India &
             generate their unique SII ID, which will be used to track their admission, VISA & FRRO.
NOTE : Previously partnered institute of Study in India need not register again, their data has been already replicated to the new website.
