About Us
The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Bhopal was established by the Govt. of India in 2008. The central focus of IISERs is to build a highly interdisciplinary and competitive teaching and research environment that caters not only to the academic and professional development of the students and faculty but also aspires to bring a positive impact on society and work towards a sustainable environment. The Institute offers BS, BS-MS, Integrated Ph.D., and Ph.D. programmes. Currently, Institute has 10 Academic Departments viz. Biological Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Data Science & Engineering, Earth & Environmental Sciences, Economic Sciences, Electrical Engineering & Computer Science, Humanities & Social Sciences, Mathematics, and Physics.
