About Us
Sri Venkateswara College of Pharmacy (SVCP), RVS Nagar, Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh is a brainchild of Bharatha Jyothi Dr. R.Venkataswamy, a Philanthropist and Educationist. He is the President of Srinivasa Educational Academy, established in the year 1991, which is running 15 institutions under various streams of education. SVCP was established in the year 2007 with the noble aim of imparting quality pharmacy education to students aspiring to become responsible pharmacists and to cater to the needs of pharmacy profession. SVCP is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Anantapur (JNTUA), Ananthapuramu, Approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) & Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi, Accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi.

Notable Research / Publication
The institution being equipped with modern equipment’s is well recognized for its funded research projects. The Institution is enriched with pharmaceutical research which includes Novel drug delivery systems, phytochemical screening, analytical method development and validation, pharmacological and toxicological screening, synthesis of organic compounds, invitro–invivo correlations etc. The Institution has obtained various funded projects worth more than Rs.5 crores from different Government funding agencies like AICTE, DST, DBT, ICMR, and UGC. Published more than 250 research articles in peer reviewed indexed journals with good impact factor. Some of the notable publications in Current Drug Delivery, Food Science and Human Wellness, Journal of Drug Targeting, Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Lipids in Health and Disease, Chem. Pharm.
