About Us
Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth (DPU), Pune, was declared a “Deemed-to-be-University” under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 in 2003. DPU has grown exponentially with the addition of eight more constituent units under its ambit. Over the last 18 years, it has grown with the addition of 9 more professional institutions. Today the nine institutions of DPU have created a brand name in the field of Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Optometry, Biotechnology, Management, Ayurveda and Homoeopathy, School of Design, and Liberal Arts. DPU has been re-accredited (3rd Cycle) by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an ‘A++’ Grade. Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune is an ISO 9001: 2015 and 14001:2015 Certified as also Green Education Campus.

The Vidyapeeth through its constituent units have published total 420 research papers in the Scopus database. Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Biotechnology is active in publication of papers. The H-index of the university stands at 60.
