About Us
Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute was established in the year 1985 to the purpose of developing as a centre of excellence in medical education, research and healthcare. It was declared as a Deemed University by the Government of India in 1994. The NAAC has reaccredited (cycle-3) of Accreditation of New Health Sciences Manual by NAAC, Bengaluru which facilitated the SRIHER(DU) with “A++” highest grade with CGPA of 3.53 on 4 point scale valid up to January 24, 2028. The University hospital is a multi-speciality tertiary care centre with 2,340 beds, with state-of-the-art medical facilities, providing quality health care to the needy rural and urban population. Many renowned physicians and surgeons treat around 5,000 patients every day in the hospital.
Area of Excellence
The WHO has designated Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute as a WHO Collaborating Centre for Research and Training in Occupational Health. The Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB)
