About Us
Indian Institute of Technology Ropar is a young IIT, which was established with seven other IITs in the year 2008. With excellent ambience and location on the banks of river Satluj, the campus holds best infrastructure. The mission of IIT Ropar is to foster a transformative learning environment and a culture of excellence enabling creation of knowledge and development of socially responsible, enterprising leaders contributing significantly to national progress and humanity. It has a distinctive curriculum that combines rigour and relevance, thereby providing hands-on learning experience to the students. Over the last few years, IIT Ropar has blossomed as one of the top technology institutions created in this millennium, securing a position among the top 10 in the country.
