It is affiliated to Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow and approved by AICTE. With the glorious legacy of 25 years in Engineering, Pharmacy, Management and Computer Application education, KIET has successfully contributed to the multidimensional development of future professionals. In terms of ranking, the institute bears the laureates of 77th rank in Pharmacy, 151-200 Rank Band in Engineering category, and 11-50 Rank Band in Innovation category, as per the NIRF Ranking 2024 released by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. It has even been rated as ‘DIAMOND’ in the prestigious QS I-Gauge Ranking. Additionally, this private institute harbors in-house Entrepreneurship Cell, i.e. Technology Business Incubator (TBI-KIET), Innovation Centre, Department of Public & International Relations, various Centers of Excellence, Research and Development Committee, and a dedicated Placement Center (CRPC) that upskill and hone the talent of students, through various activities. A plethora of Education Excellence Awards have also been bagged by the institute, including the most recent “National Award for Technology Business Incubator” accorded to the ‘Krishna Path Incubation Society’, TBI-KIET by the National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB), DST, GoI. Area of Excellence

KIET Group of Institutions is embellished with a number of Centers of Excellence that take care of providing exclusive skills to the students beyond the syllabi https://www.kiet.edu/centre-of-excellence. KIET’s Center of Excellence for Space Technologies has recently bagged a huge achievement in its name. The institute has signed an MoU with Space Application Centre (SAC), ISRO Ahmedabad to promote research and academic interaction in the areas of mutual interest.

Research Capability and Focus Area

The institute is a Research Centre for Ph.D., duly approved by Dr. APJ AKTU, Lucknow since 2010 and has highly committed faculty with Research temperament. KIET has 300+ faculty members on its roll. More than 900 publications by our faculty members have been indexed in Scopus and around 390 in WoS. We have a well-organized Research and Development Committee, Collaborative Research and Development Committee and Departmental Research Committee (DRC) to take care that the Research policies and IPR Policy for Patents are effectively implemented. Nearly 461 IPRs (including patents) have been filed with the name of institute attached to it till date. Of these, 37 IPRs have been granted to the institute till date.
